If you’re backed up, you can pretty much guarantee you’re going to be bloated. Stool sitting in your intestines ferments and creates more gas, thus making you bloated 👎🏻
This is why I start with working on motility with every single one of bloated and constipated my clients (motility is how quickly or slowly food is moving through your digestive tract).
So, if you’re struggling with bloat, make sure that you fix your motility first. If you’re still bloated after that, then that warrants a deeper investigation (usually I run a functional stool test with my clients to identify exactly what’s happening in the microbiome if this is the case).
