Today, on , we honor the strength, resilience, and courage of women facing cancer, those who have survived, and we remember those we have lost.
We also would love to recognize and honor the global community working to improve the lives of those impacted by cancer. We are especially grateful to be in the Puget Sound region, where we are surrounded by world-class medical professionals, researchers, and care teams dedicated to advancing cancer research, treatment, and survivorship. We are continually inspired by the impact of your work and the role you play in helping our members thrive every day. Thank you to Fred Hutch, Providence Swedish, UW Medicine, Overlake Medical Center & Clinics, and many more, for the groundbreaking cancer research, treatment, and compassionate care happening every day.
Team Survivor Northwest is proud to stand alongside this community. Life after a cancer diagnosis can bring lasting physical, emotional, and social challenges. In the Pacific Northwest, hundreds of thousands of women face cancer survivorship alone. Although research shows that exercise improves quality of life and survival, fewer than 30% of survivors meet recommended activity levels. Our organization meets members where they are, offering movement opportunities and meaningful connections.
