Seattle mamas and mamas-to-be, this one's for you!

We are excited to join the Bumps & Babies Brunch at Armoire. We're celebrating the launch of Seraphine (yes, THE British maternity brand) now available to rent or buy right here in Seattle.

Here's what you can look forward to:

🥂 Brunch + mocktails
👶 A pelvic health talk with Dr. (you'll leave with your own pelvic floor scorecard!)
👗 A FREE month of Armoire membership + a personal styling appointment
🎁 Prizes, free gifts, and an incredible lineup of local vendors and pop-ups

Babies and kids are welcome. Tickets are donation-based ($10 suggested, pay what you want), and every dollar benefits WestSide Baby, providing essential items to families in need across King County.

I'd love to see some familiar faces and meet new ones. Come say hi, connect with other local moms, and check out what our amazing community partners are offering.

The postpartum journey deserves more.

Stephiney Foley, founder of Yuzi Care and mother of two, never expected postpartum depression.

But like millions of mothers, she quietly faced exhaustion, anxiety, and deep loneliness.

Studies show 85% of moms experience mood changes postpartum. 67% of parents with young kids feel isolated.

Through countless conversations, she realized her pain wasn’t just hers, but something nearly all mothers were carrying.

She set out to redefine postpartum care: with warmth, cultural wisdom, and clinical quality. That’s how Yuzi Care was born.✨

Many new moms silently carry a kind of resentment.

Not because they don’t love their partners, but because they’re no longer the same person.

This is matrescence — the psychological and emotional shift of becoming a mother.

You don’t recognize yourself anymore. You stare in the mirror and feel like a stranger. You're drowning in feedings, wake windows, and breakdowns while wondering:

“Who am I?”
“Why does he still get to sleep?”
“Why do I have to hold it all together?”

You’re not being dramatic. You’re not overreacting.

You’re a woman undergoing a seismic identity shift — and it’s okay to talk about it.

Naming this isn’t about blame. It’s about reclaiming space for you.

📣 Have you ever felt this kind of emotional split? Share your story below 👇

Everyone talks about postpartum depression, but few mention one of its hidden emotional cousins: rage.

Have you felt this?
- Your baby won’t stop crying and you feel like you’re about to explode.
- Your partner is on their phone while you haven’t sat down all day.
- A relative says, “But you’re just at home with the baby, right?” and you want to scream.
- You feel guilty, but inside you’re shouting: “Why does everything fall on me?”

This rage isn’t because you’re ungrateful or a bad mom.

It’s the result of hormonal crashes + sleep deprivation + suppressed emotions.

It’s the build-up of feeling invisible, unsupported, and exhausted.

💬 Let’s normalize this emotional response.
💬 Let’s stop pretending new moms should always be calm and glowing.
💬 And let’s stop shaming mothers who feel angry.

If you’ve experienced postpartum rage, you’re not alone. You deserve understanding, not judgment.

❤️ Tell us in the comments — have you ever felt this kind of rage? We’re here to listen.

Lochia, the postpartum bleeding that can last for weeks, is something every mother experiences. But strangely, it’s a topic that almost no one talks about. Why?

Because for generations, anything involving blood, pain, or a woman’s body has been labeled as “unspeakable.” Because we’ve been taught to be clean, quiet, and composed, even when our bodies are literally recovering from trauma.

But here's the truth: Lochia isn’t dirty. It’s your body healing.

Some women bleed for up to 6 weeks. It can come in clots, change colors, and feel like a never-ending period. And that’s all normal.

What’s not normal? Feeling ashamed about it. Feeling like we have to hide it. Not being told in advance that it would happen at all.

Talking about lochia doesn’t make us unladylike. It makes us informed. It makes us ready. And it shows other mothers they’re not alone.

So let’s talk about it — honestly, openly, and without shame.

Your recovery is real. Your experience matters. And so does lochia.

Six weeks postpartum, your doctor says: “You’re healing well. You can resume normal life.”

But you’re still not sleeping, you leak when you walk, and you cry every time you see yourself in the mirror.

📣 Why are these things not emphasized?
Because society is used to saying “as long as the baby is healthy,” and mothers’ needs get pushed aside.

But here’s the truth: You are not an afterthought.

You are the main character.
Your pain, your fears, your body—they all deserve attention.

At Yuzi, we want to fill in the silence around all the things no one tells you.

We bring together pelvic floor therapists, mental health counselors, and postpartum nurses to support all of you—not just the parts everyone sees.

💬 What postpartum symptom shocked you the most? Is there something you wish someone had told you earlier?
