We look forward to meeting Saturday, (Happy Valentine's Day) February 14, from 10:00am to noon at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave W, Mountlake Terrace. Dr Anna Margolina will be presenting From Loss and Grief to Love and Growth: Hypnosis for Dealing with Death and Dying.

Death and dying are topics most Western people are deeply uncomfortable with. Whether it's their own end of life or if it's someone close to them, they don't know how to deal with it. Dr. Anna was fortunate to attend a presentation from a hospice nurse, who uses hypnosis in her work. When Anna started using the process she learned, she was astonished at the results. In this presentation, Dr. Anna will share this process and do a live demo.

NGH Washington Chapter will be meeting Saturday, November 8, from 10:00am to noon at the Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle. Tina Worthey will be presenting Using Head, Heart, and Gut in Hypnosis.

Do you ever feel in conflict where your head tells you one thing, but your heart may feel something different? As a society, we have come to rely on what our analytical mind informs us - often not taking into consideration our other systems of intelligence, i.e., our heart, gut, and body. My favorite definition of hypnosis is from James Tripp: “ Hypnosis is the engagement of a person‘s beliefs and imagination and creating for them an alternative subjective reality.” When we get stuck in repetitive patterns, it’s useful to shift our perceptions. I have found that the head/heart/gut frame is a very useful tool in helping people transform their internal conflicts. In this talk, I will demonstrate how we can utilize the different intelligent systems we all possess as humans to more fully inform the daily decisions we make.

Lydia Faye will Present Facing the Dragon - Blending Jungian Concepts & Hypnosis to Achieve True Wholeness. The presentation aims to explain Jung's "Map of the Psyche" and understanding of archetypal symbols that are commonly experienced by clients in dreams and hypnosis sessions to help achieve a balanced relationship between the conscious and the unconscious.

The work would be based on neo-Jungian contemporary Dr. Robert Moore's books "Facing the Dragon," and "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover," with the goal of expanding and adapting the concepts to be accessible to a wider audience. It is a useful vehicle for identifying where individuals are in their mental health journeys and would equip practitioners with additional tools for navigating the unconscious, as well as expand our appreciation for how the unconscious communicates with us.
Lydia is a former English as Second Language instructor of ten years and is now transitioning to mental health and life coaching services.

🌟For anyone working with addiction....

I had the pleasure of meeting and learning from Cormac Colleran last month in St. Louis at the Heartland Hypnosis Conference.

We connected over our shared work and interest around helping people with addiction, which quite often is part of the work that I do in supporting my clients around trauma, anxiety, and unhealthy coping strategies.

His Co***ne Addiction Hypnosis Program has received rave reviews, and I am very impressed with his methods that can be used with many issues that clients seek support around, in addition to any sort of addiction.
