Our fantastic art exhibition, "Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Northwest," will wrap up this Sunday! Pictured is "Calm Power - Crested Eagle" from Alejandro Grajal. "The Crested Eagle is probably one of the rarest raptors in the tropics of South America. I depicted the even rarer dark morph, which is almost all dark gray and black. For this portrait, I used charcoal and pencils to reflect a relaxed yet powerful portrait of this magnificent eagle."

Our 'Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Northwest' art exhibition is continuing!
Shown is "Day Bloomer" from Mara Orenstein. "Hemileuca eglanterina, elegant sheep moth, fly by day. One summer’s afternoon, at a forest edge, one was running through the grass straight towards me! I let it crawl into my hand; it’s fresh sunset colors and rich black pattern mesmerized me, as well as the bright blue of the sky, and intensely green grass. This moth and these colors burned into my memory, so I vowed to paint its likeness for the surprise and joy it unknowingly shared with me on that day."
