Since the 1970’s, April has been a time to recognize and support people on the autism spectrum. What began as a call for awareness has evolved into something even more meaningful: acceptance.

Our understanding of autism has evolved over the years. Today, we know that autism is a form of neurodivergence, reflecting the natural diversity of how human minds work. It brings unique strengths along with challenges, and both deserve to be seen and supported.

There’s never been a more important time to deepen our understanding of neurodiversity and the autism spectrum, challenge outdated myths, and strengthen our connections within the community.

Last weekend we had an amazing time hosting volunteers from the Beta Chi Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega and Harbor Covenant Church as they helped us tackle several exciting projects to get camp ready for the upcoming summer season!
