You can avoid “bad blender” hypnosis… and don’t need to make the same mistakes I made.
Alright, you probably have a couple of questions on your mind right now:
1) What is “bad blender” hypnosis?
And,
2) Why would you want to avoid it?
So, a bit of background…
I LOVE hypnosis and I LOVE education and I LOVE doing the best possible job for my clients…
All of this led me to taking 14 (!) different hypnosis certifications during the first few years of my hypnotherapy career.
And, after all that time and money (more than $60,000 in total) I have come to refer to the other programs as “bad blender” hypnosis.
Here’s what that means…
Back when I prioritized frugality over quality I was in the market to buy a blender… I really loved acai bowls and wanted to be able to make the sugar-free version at home.
The blender journey did not go well.
I’d like to claim that I didn’t know any better, but that’s not true…
I’d been warned.
My friend, who is about 20 years older than me and also loves healthy smoothies, had already lived his own “bad blender” journey and told me about Vitamix.
He said, “Do NOT bother with the cheap blenders… Vitamix is the best and lasts a lifetime!”
I heard the words he spoke, but I didn’t listen.
There was just NO way I was spending $500 on a blender…
Give me a break!
So, I bought a blender that was closer to $100.
Surely a blender that expensive would still be high quality… right?
No. Not at all.
Any ice I put in was blended to 75% at best.
And, most of the time, the blender wouldn’t even blend the ingredients resting at the top of the fruit pile.
Meaning, I’d have a chunky mess on the bottom half of the blender and untouched ingredients on the top half.
So, I’d have to open it up and manually mix the ingredients around to try to get the top half to the bottom.
The amount of time I wasted was not insignificant.
And, the amount of joy I lost was real.
(It’s pretty disappointing when all you want is a quick, yummy acai bowl, but instead you spend several minutes working hard just to bite into ice chunks for most of the meal.)
This went on for 3 blenders… each about $100… because I thought the first bad blender must’ve been a “fluke”.
Nope.
The exact same thing happened again.
I don’t know why I had to buy a third one to finally learn the lesson, but I did.
So, I was $300 frustrating dollars deep into what was supposed to bring me joy and health.
Eventually, I accepted my fate.
I knew I’d have to do the unthinkable.
I’d have to spend another $500 on the Vitamix.
So, I finally did it and it was life-changing.
(Seriously.)
Everything was suddenly so easy… and delicious!
This thing could even make hot and healthy soups!
What?? 😊
It became so beloved in our house that when I left the marriage, the husband asked to keep ONE thing… the Vitamix! LOL!
(Of course, I let him keep it and the whole thing is extra funny because he put up a BIG fight when I told him we were going to have to bite the bullet and get the high-quality $500 blender.)
I tell you all of this because the other hypnosis certification programs are “bad blenders”.
They are NOT cheap…
Yet, they do NOT deliver the product/training you deserve.
They are supposed to bring you joy and health, but are -instead- frustrating and unsatisfying.
And, you have to keep buying more (and more) hoping that the next certification training will deliver on its promises.
But, it won’t.
