We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rebecca Benaroya, a visionary philanthropist and one of Kline Galland’s most dedicated supporters.

Becky’s connection to Kline Galland was both personal and profound, shaped by her family’s experience and her enduring commitment to ensuring older adults could age with respect and dignity. From board leadership to the creation of Benaroya Services--Kline Galland's Home Health, Home Care, Hospice, and Palliative Care resources, Becky saw what was needed and helped make it possible.
Her generosity extended across the region, but her impact here will always remain deeply felt. May her memory be a blessing, and may we continue the work she believed in so strongly.

We are proud to be featured in today's Seattle Times Morning Brief as part of their "Today in History" segment.

On February 16, 1907, Caroline Kline Galland's will became public, dedicating $1.5 million to charity. Most of it funded Seattle's first residential care community for Jewish older adults. The home opened in Seward Park in 1914. Since then, it has evolved into what we know today as a community care organization serving thousands of older adults across the region.

Caroline's gift went beyond dollars. It established a standard for how we care for aging community members with dignity, purpose, and respect. That standard continues to shape our mission today.

Seattle is still riding the excitement, and so are we. While the city celebrates today, we’re looking back at how residents at Kline Galland enjoyed the big game together. From a lively watch party to shared laughs and friendly rivalry, it was another reminder that community is at the heart of everything we do.
