We are proud to be featured in today's Seattle Times Morning Brief as part of their "Today in History" segment.

On February 16, 1907, Caroline Kline Galland's will became public, dedicating $1.5 million to charity. Most of it funded Seattle's first residential care community for Jewish older adults. The home opened in Seward Park in 1914. Since then, it has evolved into what we know today as a community care organization serving thousands of older adults across the region.

Caroline's gift went beyond dollars. It established a standard for how we care for aging community members with dignity, purpose, and respect. That standard continues to shape our mission today.

Seattle is still riding the excitement, and so are we. While the city celebrates today, we’re looking back at how residents at Kline Galland enjoyed the big game together. From a lively watch party to shared laughs and friendly rivalry, it was another reminder that community is at the heart of everything we do.

We’re excited to share new photos of our renovated Transitional Care Unit at Kline Galland Campus. While construction continues, these updates reflect our ongoing commitment to high-quality rehabilitation in a setting designed for recovery, comfort, and dignity.

Our post-acute program supports patients as they regain strength and independence after illness or injury. We’re grateful to the donors whose support is helping move this work forward and strengthening care for the future.

Happy Tu B’Shevat! The birthday of the trees. 🌿
Today marks the season in which early-blooming trees emerge from their winter slumber and begin a new cycle. We are celebrating at Summit today with a Seder led by Wendy Marcus.

Hug a tree today! 🌲🌳🪾
