We were deeply honored to welcome Seattle’s Mayor Bruce Harrell and his wife Joanne for a special visit as we recognized those who have given so much for our freedom.

The Duwamish Longhouse now proudly sits near the mouth of the Duwamish River.

For millennia before there was a city called Seattle, thousands of indigenous people - the Duwamish Tribe - lived in harmony with the natural surroundings that sustained them.

We enjoyed visiting this landmark and learning about the history and culture of the Longhouse.
