Significant weight loss is a major accomplishment, but it frequently leaves patients with excess, inelastic skin in the upper arms. This loose skin can create functional challenges, causing physical discomfort and difficulty finding clothing that fits properly in the sleeves. Furthermore, many patients find that despite their weight loss, this lingering issue continues to affect their self-confidence.

To address this, we performed a brachioplasty (arm lift) combined with liposuction for this patient. The patient is currently one month post-operative. At this stage, it is important to note that the arms are still swollen and the incision line is in the early phases of healing. However, even with this expected post-surgical edema, we are already seeing a significant transformation in the silhouette of the arm. Over the coming months, the swelling will resolve, and the scar will continue to mature and fade.

We are sharing the 6-month post-operative results for a patient who underwent breast augmentation using 400cc Smooth Round Moderate Plus Silicone implants. This timeline serves as an excellent benchmark for what patients can expect once the recovery process is largely complete.

During the first few weeks after surgery, implants typically sit high on the chest wall. Over the course of six months, a process known as "settling" (or "drop and fluff") occurs. As seen in these photos, the implants have descended into their permanent position. The result is a natural slope that still maintains significant upper pole fullness—a key benefit of using a round implant style.
