On this Native American Heritage Day, ETS recognizes the strength and power of Native communities and we reaffirm our commitment to health equity. Native communities face significant disparities in access to substance use treatment — barriers that ETS works every day to break down.

At ETS, we believe recovery is rooted in dignity and respect. We advocate for equitable access to care and amplify voices that inspire possibility for real change.

Nikki, a thirty-two-year-old who grew up on the Nisqually Reservation near Olympia, reminds us that when barriers are removed, healing becomes possible. Read Nikki's story and learn how community and compassion make recovery real: evergreentreatment.org/blog/2025/05/16/a-little-support-goes-a-long-way

Today and every day, let’s honor Native stories in recovery and continue building a future where everybody has access to the care they deserve.

Each November, ETS observes National Homelessness Awareness Month to bring attention to the many factors that can lead to someone experiencing homelessness.

This month is also an opportunity to reiterate that each of our neighbors deserves community, care, and dignity, especially as an estimated 40,000+ people are experiencing homelessness in King County alone.

There are many myths about homelessness, many of which are reinforced by a lack of knowledge about the often-unseen systemic root causes.

Read on as we debunk five popular myths (and what's true): evergreentreatment.org/blog/2025/11/20/5-myths-about-homelessness-and-whats-true

Last week, city partners, community-based organizations, and regional stakeholders gathered to discuss the viability and scalability of the Seattle Neighborhood Impact Framework (S-NIF), a model for improving public safety in Seattle and delivering more effective support to individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health challenges, and substance use.

As Seattle and surrounding regions seek new strategies to address these challenges, the Neighborhood Impact Framework is unique as it offers a viable and collaborative path forward with a focus on high-impact individuals in local communities whose needs (as well as the community's needs) are not currently met.

Community partners represented at the Summit included:
Ballard Alliance
DESC
Evergreen Treatment Services
Purpose Dignity Action - PDA
The U District Partnership

Stay tuned for further developments!

November is National . Tuesday, Nov. 4 is also General Election Day. This is a friendly reminder that you don't need a house to vote! 🗳️

In Washington State, almost all voting is done by mail, which poses a serious obstacle for many people who don’t have a stable residential or mailing address where they can register and receive a ballot and election guide.

Our friends at Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness (SKCCH) work to make sure that every eligible voter can register, vote, and participate fully in the democratic process in , regardless of where they sleep at night.

In 2024, ETS supported 13,000 people living in the Puget Sound region with compassionate, evidence-informed care. That’s a 7.6% increase from 2023. More people are getting the help they need and deserve.

Our new report shows how ETS has filled the gaps in systems of care during a rising fentanyl crisis, supporting many paths to healing.
