In honor of volume 2 dropping today, we decided to make a developmental milestones: Stranger Things edition! Remember, every child develops at their own pace!

Some kids walk at 10 months. 
Some kids talk at 18 months. 
Some kids gets psychic powers, fight interdimensional monsters, and save their small Indiana town multiple times before graduating high school. 

All are normal!

With the CDC’s recent change in wording about autism and vaccines, we’ve seen how quickly unclear phrasing can create confusion — even when the underlying evidence hasn’t changed at all.

So we imagined a world where a bunch of other “official” websites updated their guidance in the same confusing style… using iconic movie plots as the inspiration.

Spoiler: vague language can make even obviously terrible ideas sound like “reasonable updates.”

To be absolutely clear:
🔬 Vaccines do NOT cause autism.
That conclusion is supported by decades of high-quality, replicated research.

We’re SO excited to announce that Puffin Pediatrics is sponsoring the Kids Halloween Dance Party this year! This is hands-down the coolest family Halloween event in Seattle, and we want ALL our Puffin families there.

Event Details:
When: 10 am - 2 pm, October 26th, 2025
Where: KEXP Gathering Space
What: Live DJ, dance party, costume contest, and all-ages tun!

Cost: $15 donation to KEXP (babes in arms are free!)

We’ll see you there! Look for Dr. Fradkin and the team - we’ll definitely be in costume.

This week, instead of yelling “release the Kraken!” in honor of starting their season, we have to yell “RELEASE THE VACCINES!” at our ‘friend’ and (somehow appointed) CDC acting director, Jim O’Neill.

Puffin friends and family: it’s time to call up our representative ( for those in the Greater Seattle area) and demand that these life-saving COVID vaccines be released from the warehouses where they’re currently sitting, getting closer to their expiration dates.
