Muscular Dystrophy Association, Fishing for MD - Muscular Dystrophy

We are the University of Washington Research in Aging, Disability, and Resilience (UW RADAR Lab). The RADAR Lab is part of the University of Washington, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
We are a research lab focusing on psycho-social interventions for adults with various long-term health conditions.

UW Community Health Study
The UW RADAR lab has a new telephone-based research study (Community Health Study) for adults 45-64 years old with different neuromuscular problems and conditions that impact their daily living (e.g. Amputation, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, etc.) whose symptoms started before the age of 40.

This study is looking at whether a health and wellness program, called EnhanceWellness, is helpful for adults who are age 45 to 64 years old who have had any difficulty (even occasionally) in the past year completing day-to-day tasks because of their medical condition. Participants will be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 groups:
1) EnhanceWellness program: 1x month health coaching for 6-months working on health/wellness goals that you choose
2) Health Education program: 1x month health education calls for 6-months
3) Neither of these programs.
