SOL Yoga

SOL Yoga SOL is a Power Vinyasa Yoga Studio. From SOL Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Vinyasa 1+, Vinyasa 2+ and Restore Sol (n) Latin Sōl: Sun.

A self-luminous heavenly body

Sol Yoga is a neighborhood studio that specializes in Power Vinyasa Yoga. Our teachers each have a minimum RYT certification of 200 hours to ensure a safe and effective class for all levels of practitioners. In Power Vinyasa Yoga, we pair breath (pranayama), movement (asana) and heat (tapas) in a demanding and athletic practice designed to leave you feeling sweaty, strong and free of stress. Each teacher brings their own sequencing and music to each class to add a unique touch. The Power Vinyasa style has universal appeal because it is accessible, yet challenging, to each person in the room. Although we sweat and work hard, every pose can be modified to challenge both beginners and advanced yogis alike. You come as you are and work with what you have. The end result is feeling a sense of accomplishment, gratitude for your physical ability and mental clarity. Sol Yoga is a warm, inviting and community-centered studio that is committed to improve the practice of every person who walks in the door. We sit on the beautiful western shore of Lake Washington in the Leschi Lakecenter adjacent to the Leschi marina. We maintain a 90 degree climate controlled studio, provide rental mats, towels, water and more free parking than we could ever use!

Think about how much you ask of your feet every single day.

They adapt to uneven ground, absorb shock with every step, balance your entire body. And most of us never think about them until something hurts.

SOL Reset: Foot & Ankle gives you 75 minutes to undo the tension, increase mobility, and reconnect with your foundation.

We'll move slowly and intentionally—activating, stretching, and releasing the places that hold stress (your feet, ankles, calves, and everything connected).

This isn't your typical yoga class. It's space to care for the part of you that does so much of the work.

March 1st | [6:00 - 7:30 PM| $40 SOL Workshop Pass

**Please note: We have moved our monthly Friday sound baths to Thurdays through April**

You’ve been moving fast, managing a lot, holding it together.
SOL Sound Bath — February 26th.

90 minutes to lie down and let the healing vibrations of singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums do the work. No effort required. Just you, your mat, and sound waves designed to help your nervous system finally settle.

We’ll start with gentle stretching and a short meditation, then ease into the sound bath itself. Bring whatever makes you comfortable — eye masks, extra pillows, your coziest blanket. We provide the rest.

When the world outside demands so much, it's time to go inside — literally.

SOL Down is our cozy, non-heated space designed for exactly this. Softer movement. Quieter energy. A place to land when you need to turn inward and let your body remember what ease feels like.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is step away from the desk and into a space that holds you while you unwind.

February in Seattle means we're deep in the bright grey. Short days, rain, and bodies that feel a little more contracted than usual.

Your practice doesn't need to look the same year-round. Late winter asks for something different — and listening to that is part of the work.

Look within to see what your body might be asking for right now 👉

If you started January 1st, you are a month into your practice. What are you noticing?

Maybe it’s not dramatic, you’re not suddenly more flexible or zen. But there might be small shifts happening.

Your shoulders don’t live quite as high. You sleep a little better. That thing that would’ve set you off last week didn’t hit the same way. You’re breathing deeper without even thinking about it.

This is what a month of showing up looks like. Not transformation. Just small recalibrations that add up over time.
Your nervous system is learning that it’s safe to settle. Your body is remembering what ease feels like.

Keep going. The good stuff is quiet like this.

This Saturday. Inversions. With Lisa Black.

If you’ve been curious about going upside down, or you want to refine the foundations you already have — this is your chance.

Foundations of Inversions is a 2-hour deep dive into tripod, handstand, forearm balance, headstand, and shoulder stand. Lisa will walk you through proper warm-ups, how to use the wall for support, and safe progressions toward free-standing inversions.

No experience necessary. Just show up ready to learn, play, and maybe see the world from a different angle.
