Dear Patients,
We appreciate your understanding that your upcoming visits at Oak Tree Dental Care will be different than what you are accustomed to. The current situation around COVID-19 is fluid, as the recommendations and information from the Center for Disease Control continue to be updated frequently. We are continuously monitoring these updates and are adapting as necessary. We recognize that for many the uncertainty is stressful, and we value the trust you place in us to keep you safe and healthy. (General information about COVID-19 can be found at the end of this email.)
Oak Tree Dental Care has instituted some changes upon your check-in for your dental appointments. The below steps are our new visitor policy. Your cooperation will help minimize the risk to all our patients and staff members.
• When you check-in at the front desk, we ask that you use the hand sanitizer that is provided for you.
• Upon check-out after your visit, please wash your hands with soap and water for 30 seconds, or you may also use the hand sanitizer provided and the front desk or in the waiting area.
• We have reduced our daily patient volume by half to reduce patient waiting time in the lobby.
• If you are feeling ill, have a fever of any kind, or have traveled outside of the United States in the last two weeks, we ask that you call the office to reschedule your dental appointment. Our Admin team will be rescheduling patients two to three weeks out.
• All surfaces in the waiting room, front desk, and rest rooms are being disinfected every hour by Oak Tree Staff.
• All operatories, as usual, follow the universal infectious disease control protocol promulgated by OSHA (which is the best policy for any kind of infectious disease).
As stated by the King County Public Health Department- “The more united we can be in preventing the spread, the greater the benefit for the whole community.”
Your cooperation will help us prevent the continued spread of the virus.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support.
Amin Tabatabaian, DDS

General COVID-19 Information
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) causes respiratory illnesses, ranging from the common cold to pneumonia.
The virus can spread from person to person. Symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
To reduce your risk of any infection:
• Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
If you have a fever and cough or shortness of breath AND have recently traveled to (or have been in close contact with anyone who has traveled to) China, Iran, Japan, Italy or South Korea:
• Seek medical care. Call ahead before you go to a doctor’s office or emergency room and tell them your symptoms.
• Tell your health care provider and their staff immediately if you have returned from visiting China, Iran, Japan, Italy or South Korea in the past 2 weeks.
• After you have been seen by a medical provider, stay home and avoid contact with others until you are well.
• Avoid travel on public transportation (such as bus, train, subway, metro, or airplane).
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing.
