Why do so many men struggle in silence—and what can we do about it?

In this powerful Men’s Health Month episode, host Boysen Hodgson is joined by Julien Devereux, a longtime MKP leader, therapist, and su***de prevention advocate. Together, they unpack the unseen emotional struggles many men carry, even in supportive spaces like men’s circles. Julien shares a proven, structured process to help groups talk openly about su***de and mental health—breaking the silence that often isolates men at their most vulnerable.

We also hear from Andy Miller, who founded the DRM Foundation after losing his 25-year-old son Drew to su***de. Andy’s reflections are raw and human, revealing both the pain of loss and the power of turning grief into action.

This episode is not just about raising awareness—it’s about learning to ask better questions, to create stronger circles of care, and to recognize when a man needs more than just support—he needs real help.

If you’ve ever lost someone to su***de, struggled yourself, or want to be better equipped to show up for the men in your life—this conversation is for you.

THIS Saturday - Exploring the Divine Masculine

Ideas of masculinity have long been limited or imbalanced.
But what if we turned toward its sacred essence?

What might the Divine Masculine mean, and how might it show up in each of us?

In this global panel, we will open a space to notice, reflect, and listen to men from five different countries as they share their experiences of masculinity. Through their stories, dialogue, and heartfelt reflections, we’ll invite curiosity into the many ways the Divine Masculine appears and moves in our lives.

In these times of great change, healing the masculine is not just a man’s issue. It is part of the collective awakening of humanity, a remembering of balance and wholeness.

This Saturday, Nov 8, we invite you to join a global circle to explore what the Divine Masculine truly means. ALL WELCOME.

🕊️ Host: William Keepin (GERI Co-founder)
🌍 Guest Panelists: John Guy (USA), Fabrizio Paluzzi (Italy), Ticha Masai (Kenya), Garrett Evans (USA), Ignacio Falcón (Argentina), & introducing Lukas Höller (Austria) & Sam Hinds (USA).

Developed over 30 years and conducted with thousands of participants across six continents, the GERI process applies principles of Truth & Reconciliation, pioneered by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, to begin a process of healing divisions across humanity. Our journey on this course will take us through the often-muted attitudes, fears, shame and brokenness of patriarchal society, to reclaim and restore the mutual harmony, respect and collaboration intended for men and women as God’s image bearers.

Please join us as we embrace a new form of spiritual healing and reconciliation work that builds trust and connection through a skillful combination of interactive activities, spiritual practice, and transformative group process.

This past week, GERI was honored to present at the 12th International Research Conference at Chuka University in Kenya. 💫

GERI Facilitators Garrett Evans and Meggy Nakibi delivered a keynote address on how the Gender Equity and Reconciliation International methodology offers an innovative form of “human technology” to transform gender relations and restore authentic connection.

They shared moving stories and powerful outcomes from GERI programs across cultures and communities—showing how courageous truth-telling and collective healing can dissolve the roots of gender conflict and open pathways to reconciliation.

A deep bow of gratitude to Naomi Mwangi for her technical and presence-filled support, and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Catherine Gichunge and Chuka University for the invitation and warm welcome.

🌅 Houston Workshop Reflections
OCT 10-13 we welcomed another wonderful group together in Houston, and our hearts are so full!

Over four days, women and men opened bravely, facing tenderness, and truth. We witnessed walls soften and defenses melt.

From deep sharing circles to breathwork and the honoring ceremonies, the group moved through challenge into connection, reminding us again of the power of this work to awaken what is most human in us all.

With gratitude to our facilitation team and to every participant who showed up with courage and heart. 💗

Module 3 of the South Africa GERI Professional Immersion and Facilitator Certification Training is complete! 🌍💛

What an amazing, inspiring, and transformative week this has been. A deep bow to these 20 trainees from across South Africa and Namibia, who have engaged so wholeheartedly in this inner and outer alchemy of reconciliation.

Module 3 focuses on honing facilitation skills in collaborative, gender-balanced teams. Small groups of trainees lead the rest of the cohort through carefully designed practicums, with peer feedback and focused evaluation at every step. Together, we move through the full arc of the GERI process—interwoven with explorations of intersectionality, the power of ritual and ceremony, wisdom circles, shadow work, and more.

The days were filled with hands-on practice as trainees leaned into the deeper layers of the GERI process. The transition from careful planning to spontaneous, heartfelt sharing of personal stories was a moving testament to their growing skill and confidence. Watching them guide and hold one another through poignant moments—navigating unplanned sorrows, joys, tears, and breakthroughs—revealed the subtle yet powerful facilitation capacities they are cultivating.

A heartfelt thank you to the training team—Desireé English, Laurie Gaum, Lucille Meyer, Garrett Evans, Antonia Porter, Tristan Johannes, and guest trainer Judy Bekker—for your care and skillful guidance throughout the week. 🙏

We’re deeply inspired by the dedication, care, and spirit carried by this group—and look forward to being together again in December for Module 4! 🙏✨

Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI)

#WeHealTogether

www.grworld.org

Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI) program fosters new dimensions of transformational healing and reconciliation between women and men. No society on earth is free of gender imbalance between the masculine and feminine. Both women and men are afflicted by gender injustice, and each needs the other for a true and complete healing.

GERI has been developed over the past 26 years by Satyana Institute and its precursors. More than 100 intensive training workshops have been conducted on six continents—bringing women and men together to jointly confront gender injustice. These gatherings have been held in the United States, Canada, South Africa, India, Colombia, Kenya, UK, Croatia, and Australia.
