BODY & SOLE MASSAGE IS CLOSING

To my clients and colleagues,

Body & Sole Massage has been in business for over 10 years, but now I have an announcement to make. I will be relocating to Vancouver, WA, and the practice in Seattle is closing on May 15th, 2022.

It’s been a great pleasure to work with you, and I will miss the professional and the personal relationships that developed over the years.

Seattle is filled with amazing and talented therapists, and diverse options for bodywork. I encourage each of you to explore those options, try different modalities and personalities, and give the therapist time to develop a rapport with you.

Greetings as the fall season really begins. Most people get more aches and pains when the rains return, and I have added a service to my therapeutic repertoire -- Hot Stone Massage, with real jade stones milled to a polish.

Many people have seen pictures of hot stones placed in patterns on a massage client's back, and wondered if that could do much. In my humble opinion, NO! My hot stone technique is to utilize the stones as tools, keeping the heat in motion across the client’s skin, and occasionally using the smooth edges as tools for deeper work. This protects the client from getting too hot, and spreads the heat over much more area.

In this cold and rainy season, the warm stones are as much fun to use in session as they are for you to experience. Make an appointment today, and keep the Seattle blues at bay.

Body & Sole Massage is open for business, and will remain so throughout the summer and autumn of 2021. Vaccinations are mandatory, although I will not require proof at the door, because your word is enough. I was vaccinated in the early part of the year, and have not been sick despite constant client contact. You may wear a mask at your discretion, and I will do so, if requested.

Otherwise, my services are available, and it will be an honor to make an appointment for you. Please call today, and if you leave a voicemail with contact information, I'll get back to you within 24 hours.

I'm making it official. Body & Sole Massage is temporarily shuttered until the pandemic has passed. I'm very sorry, because I know the need for touch therapy and human contact is going to grow as we isolate more and more in response to the crisis. But, all medical and professional advice points in this direction. I will be open again when it's appropriate, and I want to take this time to thank everyone for doing their part to protect our community. Hopefully, this will abate by the beginning of summer, but until then, please stay as safe and healthy as possible.
