Standing next to Dr. John C. Kois on the day of my graduation at the in Seattle — a moment I will carry with me for the rest of my career.

It is a profound honor to now be one of only nine Kois-trained dentists in Germany. This path has been one of the greatest gifts of my professional life, and I am deeply grateful for the friends, mentors, and colleagues who supported me, guided me, and ultimately brought me to this center. Without their belief and encouragement, none of this would have been possible.

Becoming a Kois Graduate is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Honored, humbled, and inspired for everything that lies ahead. ✨

My journey in dentistry began in India, continued in Iowa, and was elevated through the Kois Center. Two dental schools built my foundation; Kois felt like a third—focused on science, excellence, and the future of dentistry. Completing the Kois Center curriculum has been one of the most transformative steps in my career. With over 300 hours of science-based continuing education, the program reinforced the principles I learned in India and Iowa, and advanced them with the latest research, technology, and treatment planning protocols.

Each phase of my training prepared me for a different stage of dentistry.
The Kois Center prepared me for the future.

My sincere appreciation to Dr. John Kois and the entire Kois Center faculty for their commitment to elevating the profession and shaping clinicians to provide the highest standard of care.

Always learning. Always advancing. Always striving to serve patients with excellence.

.dental There are some cases that you will never forget. I really learned a lot from this one. I won’t go into all the details here because there are too many (started in 2020, ended in 2024) but happy to share if you reach out. Some big takeaways other dentists and patients should know when they are doing or told they need a crown on a front tooth, especially a small tooth like a lateral incisor:

1. Proceed with caution when starting a crown on a front tooth. Does it really need it? Can we save tooth structure? This is even more critical when treating small teeth.
2. Do you really need to place a metal post in a front tooth (or any tooth 🤔)?
3. DENTISTS: when doing a single front tooth implant crown with a high smile line do not mess around. Have an excellent periodontist place the implant and an amazing ceramicist do the crown. ( and is a great combo)
4. Single teeth in the aesthetic zone- you know how I feel about this one but sometimes this is what the patient wants and needs and we have to make it work. IF you need something like this and you care about how it will look- make sure you go to an experienced cosmetic dentist. Do not go to someone that “takes your insurance”. Your insurance does not care if the tooth matches at all or if it looks natural.

Ok that was a lot. Thanks for reading 😘

Kois trained dentists are passionate about what they do.

They look forward to Monday. They love the work week and they love to work with their patients. It’s a different kind of dentistry. Everyone here is passionate about what they do or they wouldn’t be here. all we are trying to do is make them better so they are not just a good dentist, they are a great dentist. Their patients are their friends, neighbors, and they see them in the grocery store and they want to be proud of what they’ve done.

The Kois Center is part of an educational network inspired by John Kois and populated by Kois trained dentists who have made a commitment to a rigorous education program. Many Graduates go on to become Mentors and Clinical Instructors returning to help the next generation of dentists go from good to great. the collaboration of these members has created an ever expanding knowledge base at the Center and is a pathway for extraordinary professional growth.
