Thank you to our Bayview residents, staff, families, and greater community for making our Annual Holiday Bazaar such a wonderful success! Together, we raised over $5,000 to support St. Paul’s In the Neighborhood program, which provides food, cold-weather supplies, and other essentials to neighbors in the Uptown area every Sunday. We’re grateful for your generosity and the spirit of community you bring to Bayview!

At Bayview, giving back to the community is part of our DNA. Our residents actively support the broader community through an ongoing food drive that supplies dry and canned goods to the Ballard Food Bank. We also partner with Riverton Park United Methodist Church in Tukwila to help immigrant and refugee families by donating essential items like clothing, socks, and hygiene products.

Special thanks to resident volunteers Don and Marlene Peters, whose dedication ensures these donations reach the organizations and families who need them most.

Last week marked a very special milestone. We held our first Terrace Apartment hard hat tour with future Bayview residents, Ty and Jackie! All the way from Hawai’i, they’ve placed their trust in our community and this project from the very beginning. That kind of trust, even before walls are up, is deeply meaningful to us and we look forward to welcoming you in your new home in 2026. Thank you, Ty and Jackie, for walking this journey with us. Here's to many more milestone moments ahead.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating René Muñoz, our dedicated housekeeper at Bayview. He shares:

“I’ve been married for 53 years, and together my wife and I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. One thing I’ve always valued about our Latino community is the importance of family. I love having a big family where we can gather to celebrate birthdays and holidays. We love to dance, play games, sing karaoke, and most of all, cook delicious traditional Mexican food. I try to ensure my children and grandchildren know how important family is and feel proud of who they are. It’s wonderful that there is a month dedicated to honoring the Hispanic community and our contributions.

Bayview is such a special place where I feel my work is recognized and appreciated. Even with the language barrier, I truly enjoy the connections and interactions I have with residents—that’s one of my favorite parts of the job.”

This month and every month, we celebrate the beauty and richness that different cultures bring to our community.
