It's very hard for men who were circumcised at birth w/o their knowledge or consent to understand they lost something irretrievable. It's hard for their spouses or intimate partners as well. But circumcision is a tremendously painful procedure, even when done with anesthesia (it wears off) that irrevocably changes a boy's body forever. I used to be neutral about this, folks. Now I'm squarely against it. There are just too many harms and not enough medical benefits, if any, to justify doing something this drastic to your newborn baby.
