Seafood Products Association A not-for-profit scientific and technical trade association serving the seafood and other food industries.

As a technical trade organization, the Seafood Products Association serves members in the areas of regulatory compliance, and conformance with customer requirements related to food safety, quality, and legality. SPA is an internationally recognized thermal processing authority. SPA administers the Salmon Control Plan and assists members in the areas of sensory analysis, food safety (including HACCP), quality, defense, audit assistance, processing and educational programs.

One seasonal position available with the Seafood Products Association. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Seasonal interns facilitate the examination process of canned salmon. Duties include receiving deliveries, setting up and organizing samples, recording weight and vacuum measurements, opening cans, entering data, cleaning & sanitizing our laboratory. Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and have basic computer skills. Attention to detail and good communication skills are a must!
