We’re genuinely excited to announce the return of the Rasa Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training with Greta Hill, beginning November 6, 2026, here at Halea Yoga.

This training has been held in our space multiple times over the years, and we’re delighted to welcome it back. Several of the teachers who currently share their voices and classes at Halea are graduates of this program, which makes this offering feel especially close to home.

This five-month, in-depth training is designed for those who want to deepen their relationship with yoga, whether your intention is to teach or to immerse more fully in your personal practice.

This training may be for you if you’re:

- Curious about the philosophy behind the poses.
- Ready to deepen your practice with clarity and intention.
- Longing for a more integrated connection between body, mind, and spirit.
- Seeking meaningful community and personal growth.
- Interested in engaging yoga as a rich and living tradition.

Feel free to send us a DM or email to begin the convo!

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, we understand that the heart of yoga is to cease the fluctuations of the mind, “Yogas citta vrtti nirodhah” (sutra 1:2). We practice each limb of yoga to experience peace, liberation, and to confront the obstacles that cause suffering. We know this is a long and difficult, yet needed, journey of individual and collective healing. It requires us to meet the present moment, show up with honest effort, and not to be fooled by delusion or fear. We practice the ethical standards, yamas (first limb of yoga), when we reject violence (ahimsa), seek truth (satya), refuse to steal (asteya), or covet anything from others (aparigraha), as we moderate and use our energy rightly (brahmacharya). At Halea, we aim to practice what we’ve been taught.

That is why this Friday, 1/30, during the national strike, Halea Yoga will donate 50% of all sales to and . We stand in solidarity not just with Minnesota, but with every community being terrorized by ICE raids, be that physically or even psychologically. At Halea Yoga, we believe in the inherent worth of every person. We believe in compassion, community, and standing up for all members that make up the communal ecosystem. The yoga studio has always been a sacred third space for us to go to during our brightest and darkest days, and we will always continue to be that place for you.

Announcing Halea’s winter yoga challenge: Fire & Ice! 🔥🧊

Winter asks us to slow down, it also offers the perfect moment to reignite our inner fire. The Fire & Ice Challenge is a two month journey designed to help you stay warm, consistent, and connected through the heart of winter.

🔥 Fire represents discipline, heat, and momentum.

🧊 Ice represents stillness, resilience, and clarity.

Together, they create balance and that’s where real transformation happens.

Throughout January and February, you’ll be invited to show up on your mat with intention, using heated classes to build strength and warmth, and mindful recovery practices to help your nervous system reset. This challenge isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about showing up consistently, listening deeply, and letting winter shape you rather than freeze you.

Whether you’re starting fresh in the New Year or recommitting to your practice, this challenge is your invitation to:

• Build sustainable heat in the body
• Stay grounded during the darkest months
• Create rhythm and accountability
• Feel supported by a like-minded community

Winter doesn’t have to feel isolating.
We gather, we move, we breathe — and together, we melt the freeze.

Step into the fire. Embrace the stillness.
Find your way through winter — and home to yourself.

An added bonus is that there will be prizes for our winning participants!

As we face the end of 2025, we are allowed to pause and reflect on our lives throughout the past year. Many things may have transformed within the last 365 days– some fresh, some forgotten. It takes time and mindfulness to deeply connect with where we’ve been, where we currently are, and the steps that brought us to this place in our lives. When we look at these parts and their effect on the whole, we can see clearly what we would like to carry with us into the new year.

Our Halea community has given us another beautiful year of dedication, joy, and connection. We hope to strengthen the bonds of our community and continue to provide a safe space for anyone to show up and practice exactly as they are. We hope you join us on the mat in 2026!

Here are a few guided prompts for you to reflect on or journal with this New Year’s Eve. We hope they help to comfort and inspire you!

Meet our new instructor, Hannah! Hannah’s journey to yoga began in a Vinyasa class in Boston, MA when a yoga instructor told her she could bend her knees in a downward facing dog. Yoga was suddenly more enjoyable and accessible! Hannah aims to incorporate this same sense of accessibility in her classes while combining her personal mission to ignite community and build connection. She strives to build a safe space for individuals to explore their physical and mental boundaries while unlocking their personal power on and off the mat. Hannah teaches both a flowing, invigorating Vinyasa practice that links breath to movement and movement to joy, as well as a grounding, introspective Yin practice that invites stillness, release, and balance.

Be sure to say “Hi” when you see her at the studio & join for one of her classes!
