We'll take any excuse to eat fresh guacamole! Chef Manny hosted a wonderful Chef Chat + Demo for our residents the other day. 🥑

It was so much fun getting to sit down and talk with him before watching him whip up an amazing batch of fresh guac right in front of our eyes. Absolutely delicious, and everyone had the best time. Thanks, Manny!

You can't have Mardi Gras without jambalaya, masks, and plenty of beads! 💜💚💛

Ash Reeder kept the tunes flowing all afternoon, but the real VIPs of the party were our Resident Ambassadors, Jean Pannucci and Nancy French. They knew exactly what they were doing and snagged the absolute best seats in the house!

Pelican Landing was filled with thoughtful moments throughout the day, made even more special thanks to Shelly and Keith, who helped add some joy to our celebration. We also have to thank Rolando Beltran for providing such beautiful music during lunch. It was the perfect touch!

Celebrating a birthday surrounded by friends is meaningful on its own, but for Pat, adding a favorite meal made it even better. When we asked what she was craving, the answer was clear: Taco Bell! So we made it happened, and when Pat received her Taco Party Box, her excitement said it all. 🌮🎉

Honoring personal preferences, even the simple ones, is one of the ways we celebrate each resident as an individual. Happy Birthday, Pat!

It takes a village to make the perfect pizza! 🍕

Christine enlisted some help from her friends to turn our cooking club into an extra special afternoon. We made personal pizzas to order, and it became such a fun and whimsical moment with the whole team involved. A huge thank you to Deandra, Kayla, Jenny, Mark, and Daniela for jumping in to help our residents!

GO SEAHAWKS! 💚💙

Pelican Landing had the ultimate pre-game show. Our Super Bowl Brunch was packed with game-day favorites like chicken & waffle sliders and a tater tot casserole. We also dove into a wing station and pretzel bites with beer cheese.

If you still had room after visiting our famous omelet station, we had banana pudding and brownies for dessert. Plus, Ash Reeder kept the vibes high with his steel drum. Thanks, Ash! 🏈

Our latest project was making heart pillows just in time for Valentine’s Day! We took our time and enjoyed the process, a wonderful way to work on hand dexterity.

For many residents, it became a two-day project, which just meant more time to socialize. We loved catching up with friends while we worked, and the bonus is definitely the cute pillow everyone got to take home. 🩷

Pelican Landing made things a little sweeter this week: Our cooking club got together to bake some delicious Valentine’s Day cookies!

Ed summed it up perfectly when he said the best part of the project is eating the results. The cookies came out beautifully with their pink and red hearts- a delicious treat for everyone! 🍪💕

We had a full house for Pelican Landing's recent fraud prevention talk here in the building, and our residents asked great questions throughout. They were eager to learn more.

A big thank you goes to the Sebastian Police Department for coming in to share practical tips and help our community stay informed and protected. Shout out to Sgt. Richard, Bill Jersik, and Donald Hart for your time, your patience, and a presentation our residents appreciated! 📘💙

Mornings around here have a good routine. We start with exercise class, and lately, the room has been getting really full! 🏋️‍♂️

Plus, when John Vitale from VNA stops by with Skipper, his certified pet therapy dog, it’s the perfect follow-up to a workout. Thank you for the weekly visits: Skipper is basically a community member at this point! 🐾

Creativity showed up in two very different ways recently, and our residents were all in on both. 🎨🥁

Shelly led a graffiti art lesson where everyone put their own name and style on the canvas, then Keith (our ESV) rolled in with the bongos and turned the room into a quick rhythm lesson. Painting, drumming, and trying new things. These are what good days look like!
