🦷 Dental X-Rays: Much Safer Than You Think!
When patients hear the word “radiation,” it can sound scary — but modern dental X-rays are actually one of the safest medical imaging tools available.
The radiation dose is extremely small and comparable to everyday exposure:

🍌 Eating a few bananas gives off about the same natural radiation as one dental X-ray.

☀️ A few minutes in the sun can expose you to more radiation than a dental X-ray.

✈️ A short airplane flight exposes you to several times more radiation than a full set of dental X-rays.

Thanks to today’s digital technology, dental X-rays use up to 90% less radiation than older film systems — while giving clearer, more detailed images. This helps us detect problems early, often before you feel any symptoms.
👉 Bottom line: Dental X-rays are safe, controlled, and an essential part of protecting your smile and overall health.
