Green tea is rich in natural compounds that fight bacteria and reduce inflammation! This makes it a great beverage for not just your oral health, but your overall wellness too. Catechins in green tea may even help reduce the risk of gum disease, and it’s gentler on your enamel than coffee or soda. For a healthy smile, enjoy it plain - no lemon or sugar. Nuts, such as almonds, cashews, and Brazil nuts, are packed with essential minerals that help keep your teeth strong and gums healthy. Almonds, in particular, are low in sugar, high in calcium, and help stimulate saliva production, keeping bacteria away. Nuts are also a tooth-friendly swap for chips or crackers, which often leave behind starchy residue. More dental health tips? Contact us at (707) 823-5339.
