There’s some new faces! Let me reintroduce myself! I’m Dr Ellerie, holistic doctor, gentle and cosmetic acupuncturist, and owner of SLO Naturopathic and Acupuncture. I’m also a plant enthusiast (hoarder), dog and cat (x2) mama, gluten free foodie, and ceramicist

When it comes to health, I believe:

➡️ In both science and traditional medicine. I studied biomedical engineering at CalPoly before I went to Naturopathic and Acupuncture school. Why do either/or when you can do both!
➡️ In the bodies ability to heal. Doctors don’t heal people, people heal themselves when given the right tools.
➡️ Treating the whole person. This means looking at physical symptoms but also looking at diet, habits, nervous system regulation and stress management, trauma, emotions… all of you!
➡️ In listening to my patients. I hear way too many stories of doctors gas lighting and dismissing their patients story and symptoms. It doesn’t have to be that way. I’ll listen!
➡️ Root cause medicine. Conventional medicine love to suppress symptoms and pretend the problem is solved. Root cause medicine means digging deeper into your health and asking *why* you have symptoms.
➡️ In delicious and nutritious food.

Yeehaw! 🤠 I’m officially a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California!

I LOVE giving treatments. I might be a little different than other acupuncturists. I’ve studied many different styles of acupuncture not just TCM.

NON-needling Japanese style acupuncture: This is great for folks that are scared of needles. It’s also great for people with lots of nervous energy, folks who feel really fatigued, and folks with a history of trauma. It’s also good for all kinds of health conditions. Non-needling acupuncture technically uses a tool that is a big blunt needle that doesn’t poke you, but moves energy using the same principles of acupuncture.

QI GLOW FACIALS AND COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE: This facial combines acupressure massage, cupping, gua sha, and cosmetic acupuncture which tones the facial muscles, increases collagen to the face, and targets wrinkles. And leaves you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

I offer regular styles of acupuncture too. Plus East-Asian body work that is based on gentle ways to promote structural alignment. It’s all about meeting what each individual needs.
