Happy Earth Day! Dr. G here.

It might not be the first thing you think about when it comes to orthodontics, but a lot of what we do is about long-term care.

Taking care of your smile.
Taking care of your health.
Making choices now that make a difference later.

Kind of like taking care of where we live 😄

Small, consistent habits go a long way.

Even simple things like using a pea-sized amount of toothpaste can help reduce waste while still doing the job.

Turning the water off while you brush is another easy one. It saves more than you’d think over time.

And choosing a reusable water bottle over sugary drinks is not only better for the planet, it’s better for your teeth too.

So whether it’s wearing your retainer, keeping up with your routine, or just being a little more mindful today, it all adds up!

Hope you’re able to get outside, enjoy a little sunshine today, and appreciate the beautiful earth we live on! 😄

Hey friends, Dr. G here.

This is something we see more often than people expect.

1. Someone had braces years ago.
2. Things looked great…
3. Life got busy.

The retainer stopped getting worn, and little by little, things started to shift.

That’s completely normal.

Your teeth want to move. That doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.

And it definitely doesn’t mean it’s too late.

If your retainer isn’t fitting like it used to, don’t force it and don’t ignore it.

Just come in and let’s take a look.

In a lot of cases, getting things back on track is simpler than people think.

Sometimes it’s a quick fix. Sometimes it’s a short round of treatment.

Either way, you don’t have to guess.

Every once in a while, I get a note like this and I have to stop for a second.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t really about braces or Invisalign.

It’s about people.
Impacting lives and futures.
And helping someone feel like themselves again.

We’re pausing our usual content today to celebrate something really special.

Our very own Dr. G is engaged 🤍🥹

Many of you, like us, have known him not just as your friend and orthodontist, but as someone who has walked through life alongside this community through both the hard seasons and the good ones.

To see him step into this new chapter and find happiness again means more than we can put into words.

If you know Dr. G, you know how much he cares for the people around him. It’s been a gift to watch that same kind of care and joy come back into his own life.

Please join us in wishing him and his fiancée, Sarah, all the happiness in the world 🥂

Happy Monday, friends! Dr. G here.

One question I get all the time is, “Who do you actually treat?”

And the short answer is, probably more people than you think 😄

Here’s a breakdown: 👇
Kids around 7 to 11
Teens 12 to 20
And a lot of adults too

In fact, about 30% of our practice is adults, andI think that surprises people!

A lot of adults come in saying,
“I’ve been thinking about this for years…”
or
“I thought I missed my chance.”

You didn’t.

And it’s not just about how things look.

We’re looking at how everything functions, how your bite comes together, and your long-term health.

As far as treatment goes, sometimes it’s braces, sometimes it’s Invisalign. And a lot of times, you actually have the choice.

The only way to know for sure though is to come in, take a look, and talk it through.

No pressure. Just information.

Happy Wednesday friends, Dr. G here.

At first glance, this smile looks great. Most people would think everything’s right on track.

But when we took a closer look with our imaging, we found an impacted canine hiding underneath that could’ve caused some real issues later on.

That’s exactly why I like to see kids early.

Not because every child needs treatment right away. Most don’t.

But because it gives us a chance to see what’s developing, catch things early, and make a plan at the right time instead of reacting later.

The recommendation is age 7, and this is a perfect example of why.

If your child’s teeth look straight, that’s great, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story.

💙 April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

This month is about something really important.

Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and cared for. And while we spend our days creating healthy, confident smiles, we also believe in showing up for our community in bigger ways too.

Prevention starts with awareness.
With paying attention.
With being someone a child feels safe around.

Here are a few simple ways we can all be part of it:

💙 Start conversations – awareness matters more than we think
💙 Be a safe, steady presence for the kids in your life
💙 Support organizations like Champion for Children Foundation of Highlands County, Inc. that are doing incredible work locally
