Congratulations to our April Employee of the Month, Jenni Klemme! Jenni is a CMA at Bothwell Family Medicine Associates and consistently demonstrates leadership, a positive attitude and has stepped up to be an essential partner in our effort to help employees get the most out of the 340B prescription program.

When the Employee Pharmacy needed clinic support to implement changes, Jenni took on each request with purpose and a team-first attitude. Her efforts helped reduce the average employee copay from $5 to $3 and contributed to nearly $75,000 in pharmacy drug spend savings this fiscal year. For employees managing multiple prescriptions, that savings is real.

Beyond the numbers, Jenni has become the go-to resource for new staff learning clinic processes, a testament to the trust she has earned across the organization. We are so grateful to have you on our team, Jenni.

Heart disease and stroke are two of the leading causes of death in the United States.
In fact, someone in the U.S. dies from cardiovascular disease every 33 seconds.

Many of the biggest risk factors, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, inactivity and poor diet, can be managed with healthy lifestyle choices and regular checkups.

Taking steps today to care for your heart can help protect your brain and overall health. Talk with your care team about ways to lower your risk. https://www.cdc.gov/heart-disease/data-research/facts-stats/index.html

At Bothwell, your overall well-being is important to us. If you have an upcoming appointment at one of our outpatient clinics, you might notice some new questions from our nursing staff before you see your physician or provider. In addition to asking how you're feeling, these questions are meant to learn about your non-health needs, including access to food and housing.

We know that struggles in these areas might mean your health suffers because sometimes difficult choices have to be made. If you need help in non-health areas, we can connect you with resources through the new Transformation of Rural Community Health (ToRCH) program to help you live a healthier, more balanced life.
