Big announcement 💜✨

We’re so excited to welcome Taylor Fowler as our new Patient Care Coordinator at Mid-Missouri Pelvic Health 🎉

Taylor joins the team with wonderful experience in women’s health, both as a birth & postpartum doula and as the OB unit secretary at Western Missouri Medical Center. She understands firsthand how important it is for women to feel informed, comfortable, and genuinely supported throughout their care — which makes her such a perfect fit for our clinic 💜

A few fun facts about Taylor 😊

🏐 She still plays volleyball weekly with some of her high school teammates and loves watching it too (Hook ’Em Horns 🤘🏼)
☕ She’s a huge coffee lover who enjoys trying new local coffee shops and proudly has a BIG sweet tooth
🥶 She strongly dislikes cold weather and is almost always freezing
🤱 She’s a birth and postpartum doula with a deep passion for helping women achieve their dream birth
✈️ She travels to Jamaica every year — truly her home away from home

If you call, email, or stop by the clinic, Taylor will likely be one of the friendly faces helping you out. We’re thrilled to have her on our team 💜✨

Intimacy can feel like a taboo topic… but it doesn’t have to be 💕From a pelvic floor PT perspective, here are 5 simple tips to make your Valentine’s Day one to remember 💘

✨ 1. Use l**e (seriously!)
Needing l**e is not a failure. Vaginal lubrication isn’t a direct sign of arousal, and lots of things affect it. Think of l**e as an enhancer, not a backup plan. Skip scented/flavored/tingly products 🚫. Water-based works for many, but postpartum or peri/postmenopausal bodies often do better with silicone-based options (hello, UberLube 👋).
🔥 2. Don’t skip foreplay

Men = microwaves. Women = ovens. Women often need more time for blood flow, vaginal lengthening, and mental presence. Desire is often reactive, not spontaneous—and that’s normal.

🗣️ 3. Communication is KEY
Talk about what you like, don’t like, or want to try. Your partner isn’t a mind reader 🧠. Open conversations = better connection (and better intimacy).

⏰ 4. Don’t wait until bedtime
By then, most people are exhausted 😴. If possible, plan intimacy earlier—day dates, before dinner, or with childcare help. More energy = more enjoyment.

💞 5. Pe*******on is optional
There are so many valid ways to be intimate. Massage, external touch, cuddling, or simply being close all count. This is especially important when pe*******on isn’t possible or desired (pain, ED, pregnancy restrictions, or preference).✨ Intimacy looks different for everyone—and that’s okay. Connection > perfection.
