Our Story

Dickens Family Funeral Home is independently owned and operated by D. Brett Dickens and Katy Dickens of Sedan, Kansas. We as owners feel there is a special need for comfort and care at your time of need. I have been in the funeral industry for more than eighteen years and have gained much knowledge of how to handle everything in your time of grief and sorrow. I feel just being there for grieving families and guiding them through this very difficult time is one of my strong attributes. To own and operate the funeral home in our hometown means a lot to our family. It has been a dream ever since I was an elementary student to learn and get involved in the funeral industry. We find it reassuring about doing business with people we know and see at church, grocery store, or anywhere around the community. We feel that not only Sedan and Moline but all of Chautauqua County, Elk County and Southeast Kansas deserves the “BEST” receiving the help they need in their time of need.
