Many of us are uncomfortable with touch. The reasons for this are vast. We need to feel safe and touch may not have always been that for many of us. Positive touch is potent medicine. It breaks down walls. It can stir up old memories, good and bad. We have had people cry on our tables, we have cried on tables. There’s a reason they call it massage “therapy”. What we do is therapeutic on more than just the physical level. More important than knowing your muscles and how they work together, is knowing human beings. We know that every person who walks through our doors has a story. We meet our clients with empathy. We start sessions by grounding ourselves before we make contact. We make sure that first connection is slow and gradual. We pay attention to body language. We communicate. We understand that the table can be a vulnerable place to be. Thank you for trusting us with you. It is and always will be an honor.
