On April 16, Sedonya Conscious Living Center will host
An Encuentro with the Mamas of the Holy Mountain Nuncumaca, a one-day program focused on Indigenous land stewardship and a current land repatriation effort in Colombia.
The Mamas—spiritual leaders from the Sierra Madre de Santa Marta—have worked for generations to maintain balance between human activity and the natural world. One of their sacred sites, Nuncumaca, is now at risk of being sold.
The event brings together the Mamas with artist Suzette Clough, along with facilitators Gillian Goslinga and Uqualla, for a series of conversations and experiences throughout the day.
The schedule includes a morning discussion on the role of sacred land and ecological systems, a plant-based community lunch, an afternoon session focused on pollinators, and an evening ceremony.
An artwork by Clough, Eye of the Sun, will be introduced and auctioned as part of the effort to support the return of the land.
Attendance is flexible—guests can join individual portions or attend the full day. The event will be held in person in Sedona, with a livestream option available.
