My approach to Functional Medicine reminds me of the importance of moving beyond “a pill for an ill” and even beyond “a supplement for a symptom.” I know that true healing asks deeper questions and invites deeper engagement.

If you feel ready to explore what healing could look like for you, I’d love to connect. I offer a complimentary 15-minute connection call to see if this work is a good fit. The "Start Here" highlight in my bio will guide you through this process 💚

Note: This reflection is excerpted from my monthly email newsletter, where I share updates, reflections, and holistic wellness tips each month! I would love for you to join our ever-growing community 💚

Stress - whether physical, emotional, or mental - directly influences inflammation, gene expression, and long-term health. Chronic inflammation underlies nearly all modern diseases, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune conditions, cognitive decline, anxiety, and depression.

This is why I teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

On January 22, 2026, I’ll begin a 4-week introductory mindfulness course, Stress Relief in 4 Weeks, designed to make these tools accessible and practical.

Details:
Thursdays, 9:00–10:30 AM
January 22 – February 12
Virtual via Zoom

True healing happens in the listening, not the “fixing.” Our bodies hold so much wisdom about their own healing, and yet too often we are led to believe that they are broken and the answers are outside of us.

In Functional Medicine, we take the approach of honoring this wisdom, listening to each patient’s story, and uncovering their own unique path to healing from there.

If your energy feels low, cravings feel louder, or your system just feels more sensitive than usual... it may not need more discipline. It may need more nourishment.

Fatigue, disrupted sleep, mood changes, and harder workouts are often signals that your body is asking for support rather than restriction. Let’s make this the year we truly honor our bodies’ wisdom.

✨ Save this for the days you feel depleted.

1:1 care allows us to look deeper, ask better questions, and uncover your individual mix of root causes. Then, we can develop a truly effective plan to bring you back to balance. 💚

It certainly can be easy to get caught up in "busy mode," but it's often way more simple to ground back into our bodies than we realize.

These four techniques pull us away from the hustle and chaos and back to the present moment...all in a minute or less!

Winter’s shorter days and colder temperatures require more wind-down time, warmth, slowness, and overall rest. Trying to fight this has the reverse effect of insomnia and restlessness when it’s finally time to sleep.

Save this post and try these three simple rituals to support consistent, deep rest this winter. We have more control over our wellness this season than we think!
