More than 20 years ago, Melina started her career in the banking world in Boston, Massachusetts in the US. She subsequently followed her desire to live and work in Europe, which prompted her move to The Netherlands and finally to Switzerland in 1997, after receiving at M.A. from SAIS at the Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Italy and Washington, D.C. and an M.B.A. from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. From 1997 until 2006, she pursued a career in the financial industry in international business development, marketing and global project management for both Swiss and international financial institutions. After taking a break from the corporate world following the birth of her daughter, Melina qualified as a Reiki Master through training in Geneva, Switzerland and complemented this education with training in energy healing, body psychology and spirituality at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing Europe in Bad Ischl, Austria. She founded Cultivating Alpha, a Body, Mind & Spirit focused wellness service Dedicated to Well-being through Brennan Healing Science, Reiki, holistic life coaching and counseling and group workshops in Geneva, Switzerland. She provides Reiki energy healing and holistic life coaching at the Wellness Centre Holmes Place Geneva and teaches Reiki workshops (levels 1-4) as well as courses on Body, Mind and Spirit self-development. In 2020, she moved to Sedona, Arizona and launched SpiritFlow Sedona. Melina is half-Swedish and half-Greek and lives in Sedona with her husband, daughter, three Norwegian Forest cats, and one Coton de Tuléar dog. The Barbara Brennan School of Healing is an international learning institution, founded in 1982 in the USA by Barbara Ann Brennan. Additional locations opened in Europe in 2003 and Japan in 2006. Each year approximately 500 students participate in the program.
