Sometimes life is like a musical. At Birchview, last week was full of fun, song inspired moments! From "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles", to "Tip Toeing Thru the Tulips", to "The Banana Boat Song" (we made banana splits), we could almost hear the music in the air.🎶 On Thursday night we even went "Under the Sea" to The Little Mermaid musical at Mcintyre Hall, starring our very own activity assistant, Carly, as Ursula the sea witch. Our hears are still singing! 🧜‍♀️🌷🍌

April is National Volunteer Month. At Birchview, we have some of the most caring and talented individuals donate their time and skills to come and brighten our residents' days. Students at Mary Purcell Elementary studied inspiring leaders and well known historical figures to create a Living Wax Museum. Birchview residents came and pushed a "button" on the student's hand to learn about these amazing people. The kids got to practice their presention skills and Birchview residents enjoyed learning and connecting with the next generation! 😄

Did you know Walk in the Park Day is celebrated every year on March 30th? Birchview residents and staff took advantage of this opportunity to get moving and connect with nature on a walk down to Riverfront Park!
