United General District 304

United General District 304 United General District 304 offers more than 50 programs promoting health and wellbeing at every stage of life.

We are Skagit County Public Hospital District #304, doing business as United General District 304! We are a publicly-owned organization focused on building healthier communities

With innovative and accessible programs, we help residents engage in healthy behaviors during all stages of life. From prenatal care in our WIC clinics to exercising after a fall – and everything in between – we strive to meet changing needs and provide compassionate, preventative services. Our six pillars of health and wellbeing represent the types of initiatives and services we focus on as a public hospital district. Each pillar contains many programs and projects that work together towards improving the quality of life for the residents of the communities we serve. Pillars include:
Active Living
Community and Professional Education

Have an Active Autumn with tips from United Fitness Center!

Don’t Wait — Start Moving More Now! 👟
The holiday season is upon us, and it can be easy to put our fitness goals aside and say we’ll “start fresh” in the new year. But staying active through the festive meals and celebrations helps you keep your balance, strength, and energy all winter long.
At United Fitness Center, we believe consistency is the real magic. A few steady workouts each week can add up to real results - no resolution needed!
🍂Read on for some active autumn ideas:
~Keep your same workout days, even if you shorten the time.
~Pair your favorite class or routine with a fun fall treat afterward—consistency deserves a small reward!
~Bring a friend or spouse to stay accountable through the holidays.
~Start before the rush, and you’ll already feel stronger when everyone else is just getting started in January.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a su***de crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. Join us for a free, online training and leave with the knowledge and confidence to be there for someone when they need it most.

Next Tuesday is Veteran’s day, and we will be hosting a volunteer garden workday from 9:30-1pm. We need your help in getting the garden ready for winter, including mixing and flipping our compost piles! Kids are welcome but anyone under 14 must have an adult accompany them. Veggie soup and bread will be provided. Bring appropriate layers and we will supply tools, gloves, and adult boots. Meet at the farm to school classroom at 7834 S Superior Ave, or find us in the field or elementary garden. We hope to see you there for a day of service!

The death of a family member, friend, or other person can be a lifelong experience for children. At Rooted, youth aged 6-18 have the option to take part in discussion, play, art, learning, and activities for expressing grief in a supportive environment with trained volunteers. Next week, our favorite therapy dog, Aspen, will also be joining the drop-in group!
