Summer is the “busy season” for outdoor accidents, so it’s important to know when to go to an urgent care and when to head straight to the emergency room. For relief of minor cuts and scrapes, head over to GRMC Urgent Care at Clear Springs but if you or someone you’re with has broken a bone or potential loss of limb injury, head to the ER. They need immediate attention. From everyone at GRMC, stay safe this summer!

A Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon treating bone and joint conditions, including arthritis, sports and hand injuries, and joint replacements of the hip, shoulder, and knee, Dr. Twitero is an Army vet and a contributing surgeon for the multiple orthopedic Healthgrade 5-Star Awards at GRMC for Hip Fracture Treatment, Total Knee Replacement, and Appendectomy.

Dr. Twitero has served in the position of Chief of Surgery and Department Chief of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Services in military hospitals. A former Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, Dr. Twitero has received many military honors, including a Bronze Star for his efforts in Iraq and special commendations for excellent patient care.

"I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them achieve a better quality of life." -Dr. Twitero. “My patients, their health, and their recovery, truly matter to me.” Dr. Twitero is proud to serve the communities of Seguin, New Braunfels, Marion, Schertz, Gonzales, Kenedy, and their surrounding areas for over 20 years. In addition, he serves as the team doctor for Seguin High School sports.
