Colorectal cancer is one of the leading cancer killers in the U.S., but screening can help prevent it or detect it early when treatment works best. Most cases occur in adults over 50, and risk increases with certain health conditions or family history.

Screening options vary and may include simple at-home tests done yearly, or visual exams such as colonoscopy, typically recommended every 10 years if results are normal. The right test is the one you and your provider choose together.

GRMC encourages you to talk with your provider about which screening option is right for you.

Sleep is essential to your health, yet many adults do not get the recommended 7–8 hours each night. Poor sleep has been linked to conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and depression, making diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders an important step toward better overall wellness.

GRMC offers comprehensive sleep studies to help identify conditions like insomnia, narcolepsy, and sleep apnea. Our providers, including Jason Goodwin, MD and Jennifer Hennessee, MD work with patients to find the right solution, from diagnostic testing to advanced treatment options for obstructive sleep apnea.

If snoring, fatigue, or restless nights are affecting your daily life, talk with your provider about whether a sleep evaluation may be right for you.
