It may be the end of National Domestic Violence Awareness month, but let's not allow our voices to be silenced!

Let's continue to raise awareness and spread education regarding domestic violence. Let's talk about what healthy relationships look like, the signs of domestic violence and the many forms of domestic violence.

These important conversations start with us! It takes a village to stand up against domestic violence. Let us unite and shine a light on domestic violence; the truths, the myths, the misconceptions, the signs and the different forms of it.

💜 Only a Couple Days Left to Show Us Your Purple 💜
We stopped by Serenity Boutique in Seguin today, and while the store is ready to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we need your help to flood our feed with purple!
This campaign isn’t just about winning a gift card. It’s about standing up for survivors. It’s about honoring the lives lost to domestic violence. It’s about showing our community that we care, and that we’re paying attention.
There are less than 2 days left to enter!!!
Your photo could be the one that starts a ripple of awareness and hope.
Here’s how to participate:
• Wear something purple
• Post your photo on Facebook
• Tag Thriving Hearts Crisis Center and Serenity Boutique
• Follow both pages
• Get your friends to like your photo
The photo with the most likes by October 31 wins a $30 Serenity Boutique gift certificate.
Let’s not let this moment pass quietly. Let’s flood Facebook with purple and show Seguin that we stand together against domestic violence.

If you have attended one of Thriving Hearts Crisis Center’s Shine a Light on Domestic Violence Vigil or passed by the Karnes City satellite office, you probably have noticed the “Red Ladies.”

Do you know what they symbolize?

The term "Red Ladies" refers to exhibits that use red, life-sized cutouts to represent and honor victims of domestic violence.

The red figures serve as a powerful visual memorial for victims, provide hope and support for survivors, and educate the public about domestic violence. The "Red Lady" figures are exhibited during the month of October which is known as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Each “Red Lady” bears a plaque which shares their name, place of residence, age of death and a brief story on how they were killed. (lost their life to domestic violence)

As we come to the end of October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, let’s remember — awareness doesn’t end here; our efforts will continue daily. 💜💟
