This morning we had the pleasure of hosting a congratulatory breakfast for Billy Sides and James Mitchell to celebrate an incredible accomplishment. Both recently completed and passed their EMT class and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam.

Billy and James are valued members of our hospital team and also work full time for the Sheriff’s Office. Balancing multiple jobs while supporting their families makes this achievement even more impressive.

We are proud of their dedication to serving our community and were glad to take a moment to recognize their hard work. Congratulations, Billy and James!

This month’s Manager Spotlight shines on Sara Kelly, RN, Case Manager!

Sara has been a dedicated member of our team since 2016. She began her career at SMH as an LPN and continued her education to become a Registered Nurse, demonstrating her commitment to growth and excellence in patient care.

Her favorite time of year is Christmas — she loves the way everything slows down, the decorations, and the traditions with her family. It’s a season that just feels special to her.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. In the coming year, she’s looking forward to watching her children start new sports and achieve new milestones in school.

This month we are proud to recognize Troy Schultz as our Employee of the Month!

Troy has been with SMH since June 2025 and has quickly become a valued member of our team. He loves all things outdoors — especially hunting and fishing with family and friends. When it comes to food, you can’t go wrong with a good chicken fried steak dinner!
