Thank you to Jon Hansen for taking the time to visit WCCC today and learn more about long-term care, as well as spend time with our residents and team. We especially appreciated his willingness to step outside his comfort zone and join us for a video, all in good fun, and we had a great time! Safe travels on the campaign trail.

We received word that Jon Hansen will be stopping by the facility today at 1:00 PM! As he passes through town, he’ll be stopping by for a brief visit and asking if he could spend some time at our facility. We always appreciate the opportunity to showcase long term care and the incredible residents and staff. Feel free to stop by and say hello!

Yesterday, we gathered for the social event of the season with plenty of delightful conversation. Our residents enjoyed the party served with treats and a perfectly poured cup of tea.

We’re looking for a nurse who can handle call lights, charting, family questions, med passes, and the occasional “I already told the last three people this.”

Long-term care isn’t for everyone. It’s fast-paced, unpredictable, and some days your coffee becomes a decorative accessory. But it’s also rewarding, meaningful, and filled with moments that remind you exactly why you chose nursing!

We’re honored to share a special recognition, but even more proud of the reason behind it. Bree, one of our own who serves in the National Guard, nominated Trista for the Patriotic Employer and presented the award this week. Bree’s commitment, sacrifice, and willingness to serve represents the very best of what it means to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

As a facility, we stand fully behind her and all those who choose this path.

Yesterday we had the joy of celebrating our amazing volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week We gathered for a brunch, shared some laughs with a little left-right game, and most importantly, took time to recognize the incredible gift they give our residents. Their kindness, presence, and dedication mean so much to our residents and our entire facility! We are so grateful for each and every one of you.

This week our team headed to the SDHCA Conference. Opportunities like this allow us to expand our knowledge, strengthen our skills, and most important to connect with others who share the same passion for long-term care. Thanks to Jeff with HCIS, Jason with Estelline Nursing & Care Center and Mark with SDHCA for joining our momentum. It’s a great reminder that when we all come together, amazing things can happen.
