EMTS would like to recognize another employee this month. Gloria Martin had worked at EMTS for 13 years, then came back and has worked at EMTS for 3 more years. While working at EMTS she has worn many different hats: Driver, EMT, QA team, and CPR instructor. Previously she had also held supervisor and lieutenant roles. Gloria has worked in EMS since 1980, giving her 46 years! Originally from Lancaster PA, her favorite place to eat is Shady Maple. Her favorite place to go is Florida, but even on vacation she's usually keeping busy. Hobbies Gloria enjoys are scrapbooking, floral arrangement, and music. A pet peeve of hers is chewing with your mouth open, and hateful people. If she could have a super power it would be sensitivity to people who are hurting. With her training as an EMT, CPR instructor, body alignment, and Freedom Ministry Team she is also helping others. With all these she is always learning more and continuing her education in health care.
Thank you Gloria for your years of service.

Education is the process of moving from confidently wrong to thoughtfully uncertain.

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where, who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
So on we go
HIs welfare is my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there...
--"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" as recorded by The Hollies in 1969
Still a good message today, though.

Great things are happening at EMTS!
1) We have revised our orientation process, and with that, employees are now receiving a more consistent orientation.
2) Becca has been shopping--I never know what will show up at my door...but it is sure to be something we need to improve our patient care or office processes.
3) We are coming together as a team again... employees are working together to solve problems and get the job done!
4) We are back on the Con Ed wagon...trying to do something monthly in conjunction with Montgomery Volunteer Fire Co.
Go team, and keep up the great work. You are awesome!

EMTS would like to recognize another employee Caroline Calkins- Holmberg. Caroline has been an EMT and EMSVO for 6yrs, with 2.5 yrs of service at EMTS. Carol is from Barbours PA and is a member of :Plunketts Creek Volunteer Fire Co as well. She has always been a caregiver to humans and animals . Early in life she wanted to be a vet. In her free time she rides her horses and plays with her dog. She does not have a favorite pet; she loves all of them. Her favorite place to eat is Disalvos. If she could fly away it would be to Hawaii, for some sunshine. Her super power would be to read minds and help people find happiness. A pet peeve of hers is laziness. Caroline is a woman of many talents: she has a degree in Advertising Layout and Clothing Construction, a degree in Spirits, and she is also a licensed massage therapist. Thanks for all you do, Caroline!
