In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are thankful for all that we have and want to give others within our greater community the chance to do the same. About a week ago, our Chaplain kicked off this year's ministry initiative with a call for donations of canned goods and non-perishables to benefit the Pennridge FISH Food Pantry. These photos are from earlier this week, and the table continues to grow! Our wonderful Transportation team will assist with delivery on Monday to feed local underprivileged families this holiday season.

This week, Rockhill is celebrating milestone anniversaries of its dedicated employees who have collectively given 420 years of service to both our residents and our mission! A complementary buffet lunch was served to all staff today, followed by an awards ceremony presenting Certificates of Recognition and a special gift to those with milestones, pictured here, including four of our most tenured staff posing with their team:

1st Sm. Group: Director of Housekeeping & Laundry Linda Shuck (center), retiring tomorrow after 31 years – Congratulations, Linda! + Marie Hager, 35 years (both with teammate & fellow anniversary honoree Nathan Allen)

2nd Group: Sadie Robos, 30 years, Culinary Services (along with Andrew Loeffler, Michele Belcher and Exec. Chef Erkan Ocak)

Last Group: Linda Lynn, RN, 40 years, Healthcare (with Director of Nursing Lauren Thomson)

POV: You dined at Hilltop Harvest today for Rockhill’s 𝓞𝓴𝓽𝓸𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓮𝓼𝓽 lunch!

Residents were offered non-alcoholic beer to accompany a buffet of Bratwurst in Beer broth, Beef Rouladen, Poached Salmon with Riesling cream sauce and Jägerschnitzel, along with German Potato Salad, Braised Red Cabbage and Spätzle, followed by German Apple Cake for dessert.

We shared in a previous post how we celebrated our staff this week. Meanwhile, residents were experiencing a celebration of their own, as Active Aging Week swept across campus through 𝐿𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑙, our fitness & wellness program. Of the many activities on this week's calendar promoting healthy aging and active lifestyles, one highlight was our residents' live performance of their weekly ‘Music + Movement’ drumming fitness class.
