On yesterday, The Black Belt Alphas had the pleasure of attending the Founders' Day Program hosted by the Ladies of the Zeta Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Congratulations on a job well done to the speaker Dr. Tracey Morant Adams; Chapter President Mia L Suggs, and to all of the outstanding Ladies of Zeta Eta Omega. Special thanks to Zeta Eta Omega on recognizing the Black Belt Alphas for our service to the communities we serve. Bro. Warren William Young in the absence of Chapter President Bro. Judge Donavon Jermaine McGuire accepted the award on behalf of the chapter. We are grateful for the recognition and we will continue to work for our beloved community.

On yesterday, The Black Belt Alphas participated in the Project Alpha program jointly sponsored by the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Upsilon Lambda Chapter and the Delta Pi Lambda Chapter at Bullock County High School in Union Springs. It was wonderful collaborating with the prestigious Brothers AUL. We take our responsibility to educate, mentor, and guide young people very seriously, and experiences like this remind us why the work matters. We look forward to continuing to invest in and help shape the next generation of leaders. 💛🖤

The joint MLK Wreath Laying and Candlelight Vigil presented by the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Pi Lambda Chapter, and the Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Zeta Eta Omega Chapter at Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church was a great way to conclude our local MLK Weekend of activities. One of the most inspiring moments was hearing our young people read Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, which was a powerful reminder that his vision lives on through the next generation. As we reflected together, we were reminded of the continued importance of pushing Dr. King’s legacy of peace, justice, and equality for all. May all of us keep the dream alive through our words, actions, and unwavering commitment.
