There’s a reason it's not working the way you hoped.

Low iron or ferritin is one of the most common patterns I see tied to:

🧠 Brain fog
💤 Fatigue
💇♀️ Hair shedding
😣 Restless legs

But here’s the catch...just taking more iron often doesn’t solve it. In some cases, it can even make things worse.

Here’s what might be happening behind the scenes:

👉 Low stomach acid makes iron hard to absorb. If you have reflux, bloating, or take acid blockers, your absorption may be compromised.

Modern diets are packed with omega-6s from seed oils like soybean, corn, and sunflower, especially in processed snacks and takeout.

At the same time, many of us are falling short on omega-3s from wild fish, flax, chia, and walnuts.

When omega-6s overpower omega-3s, it tips the body into a more inflammatory state.

That can quietly fuel joint pain, skin flares, hormone imbalances, and even cardiovascular issues over time.

The goal isn’t to cut omega-6s completely.

This simple salad might be just the thing your body’s asking for...

Raw carrots contain unique fibers that bind to excess estrogen and help your body eliminate it more efficiently... supporting hormone balance, gut health, and natural detox pathways.

✨ This Hormone-Balancing Raw Carrot Salad is one of my go-to functional food favorites... it’s easy, flavorful, and backed by science.

Here’s how to make it:

Honey Lime Dressing:

2 tbsp white or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp lime juice (or lemon)
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp raw honey (or organic maple syrup)
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (or avocado oil)
1/2 tsp Celtic sea salt

Carrot Salad:

1–2 large organic raw carrots, peeled
1–2 tbsp crunchy nuts/seeds (think pistachio, sesame, or peanut)
Fresh herbs like cilantro, mint, or basil 🌿

To make it:

Whisk all dressing ingredients except olive oil. Slowly add oil while whisking until creamy.

Peel outer layer of carrot, then use a veggie peeler to shave ribbons lengthwise.

Toss carrots with herbs and nuts... then drizzle with dressing and enjoy.
