Today marked the Stop 1 of 3 stops for our Fall 4 Wellness Health & Resounce Fair Outreach Tour! 🍂

The City of Collins teamed up with the Mississippi SHINE Project to provide free health screenings and connect residents with valuable community resources. Attendees took advantage of blood pressure and glucose checks, along with information from a variety of vendors dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles.

We had a great turnout and an amazing day of connection, education, and service to the community! 💚

New Zion Baptist Church Harvest Festival = FUN for the entire family! 🎉

What an amazing day filled with carnival games, delicious food, live music, hayrides for the kids, great vendors, and so much more! I was honored to provide blood pressure checks and share valuable resource information to support the mind, body, and soul.

Today was 1 of 2 stops for our Fall 4 Wellness Health & Resounce Fair Outreach Tour! 🍂

The Friends of the Mendenhall Public Library partnered with the Mississippi SHINE Project to provide free health screenings and share valuable community resources. Participants took advantage of blood pressure checks, glucose testing, and information from various vendors focused on promoting healthy living.

Late Post…

The West Jasper School District celebrated Red Ribbon Week, and I had the pleasure of partnering with Pamela Prestage-Lang, Project Director of the Mississippi To***co Free Coalition. Together, we set up interactive tables outside the cafeteria and engaged with students in grades 4–12 from Bay Springs Elementary, Junior High, and High School!

My focus was on nutrition education, promoting the 5210 Program to encourage healthy eating habits—especially adding more fruits and vegetables each day. 🥕🍎

Ms. Pam led an informative session on “How Va**ng Affects the Body,” motivating students to make healthy choices and stay vape-free. 💪

We had an awesome turnout today with over 100 participants in attendance! 🙌 More than 20 vendors came together to provide valuable health information and resources for our community. I also had the pleasure of offering blood pressure checks and glucose testing to attendees. 💉

💗 October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!

A time to shine a light on the impact breast cancer has on women, families, and communities — and to promote early detection and prevention.

The Mississippi Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, in collaboration with the Mississippi Partnership for Comprehensive Cancer Control (MP3C), proudly sponsors Pink Sunday — a statewide effort encouraging faith-based and community organizations to host a breast cancer awareness event.

💖 Today, I had the pleasure of attending Pink Sunday services at Morning Star M.B. Church, Holly Springs CME Church, and Sweetwater CME Church!
Each congregation received educational packets filled with helpful information and resources.

I also shared details about Southeast Mississippi Rural Health Initiative, Inc.(SEMRHI) and their upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Week happening October 20–24!
