Did you know walking backwards is a great tool for knee health? By walking backwards you are shifting the initial impact to begin at your toes instead of your heel. This reduces the impact on your knees, while working the supporting muscles. This makes it a great functional exercise to strengthen the musculature of the knee, helping with stability and prevention of future injuries.

The beauty of lunges is that they mimic movements we do daily such as kneeling and walking. This makes them a great functional exercise to improve stability and balance. Additionally they are a great tool to strengthen lower body muscles such as the glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. They also can be done just about anywhere which makes them super accessible!

Dry needling is A GREAT MODALITY FOR TARGETING POINT SPECIFIC issues SUCH AS ROTATOR CUFF injuries, meniscus injuries, or even very stubborn trigger points. Since most modalities treat from outside-in, placing a needle in the effected area is a great way to treat from the inside-out.

Rest is so important for us. Physically, mentally, spiritually, etc. We often think if we just do more, more, more we can fix anything. But there is a beauty that comes with contentment and just feeling the groove of life 🕺

Bass is a great example where often time less is more. Maybe that's why it has become a means of mental rest for me lately. Allowing me to clear my mind and find beauty in the music. Even if my part seems minimal sometimes.

Find means of rest. Enjoy the rest. Enjoy the space in between and allow other parts of life to shine through! 😁

SIT UP STRAIGHT!

Bruegger’s Exercise is a great corrective movement to help get rid of the habit of poor posture and slouching. This movement can be performed from a chair just following a few simple steps:

1. Sit tall at the edge of a chair, feet flat on the floor.

2. Contract the core, bring shoulders back and down and retract the chin.

3. Let arms rest at sides with elbows bent to 90°.

4. Rotate shoulders outward, palms facing up.

5. Gently squeezing shoulder blades together and down.

6. Hold for a few seconds, then relax and repeat.
