Basic Life Support & First Aid courses that trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) reflects science and education. The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device
Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
lessons may be held in home or/and at place of business based on number of attendees. BLS qualifications no longer require or include mouth to mouth training to receive CPR/AED certificate.

We’re so excited to AGAIN partner with Vampire Penguin to host a special CPR & First Aid Certification Course. Last months class was so successful and we are back by popular demand.

🗓 Saturday, December 20th🕒 9:30–11:30 AM

💵 $49 per participant (ages 9–16)

This hands-on course, aligned with the American Heart Association, includes:
✅ BLS Adult, Child & Infant CPR with AED
✅ Choking & Basic First Aid
✅ 2-year same-day certification

CPR & Cotton Candy!! ❤️🐧

Congratulations to these amazing young students who are now CPR certified and First Aid trained. They stepped forward to help make their neighborhoods, playgrounds, schools and our city a safer place to be. They were all eager to learn and fully participate, and now they can move forward with the confidence of knowing they can play a vital role in saving a life or helping in an emergency.

A huge thank you to Vampire Penguin Dessert Shop for hosting this one of a kind event! 👏🏻The kids had a blast making cotton candy—and especially eating it.
