Trying Something New

This one is fairly easy and completely open to your interpretation. You could try a new food, a new genre of book, a new genre of music, or taking a different route to work or home. It is easy to add novelty into your daily life. It can help you look at things differently or find something you didn't know you liked! One of my favorite things is to ask people what they are listening to. I have learned about a lot of amazing artists by asking what music people listen to. 🎧🎼 If you can't tell, music is a huge part of my life!

Playing is very important for both adults and youth. While there is depth in the research of why play is important to youth, there is a gap in the research of how play is important to adults as well. One of the obstacles lies in how to define "play." What is play to you? Is it playing a board game, hide and seek, playing a video game either solo or with friends? How do you play? What is your favorite way to play?

Sensory Self-Soothing: Proprioception

Proprioception is part of our sensory system, and is often referred to as our "sixth sense." This system provides the brain information regarding the body's position, movement, and coordination within an environment. 💚 Bringing awareness to the present
💚 Better sleep
💚 Reduced tension in the body
