Crestview Nursing and Residential Living is a privately owned facility that is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood in Seneca just one block North of 36 Highway. A local family built Crestview and it is still a privately owned facility, with management believing in the tradition of community-based care. This is implemented through caring staff, volunteers, families, and friends who dedicate themselves to the care of the elderly. For the resident’s safety, comfort, and well being Crestview provides 24 hour nursing care by licenses nurses, certified nurse’s aides, and multiple level trained support staff. The staff provides great tenderness and concern of the residents and every effort is made to alleviate their pain and to promote comfort. Crestview’s Vision Statement:

Advanced Directives will be honored within the guidelines of current legal and Regulatory standards, and in accordance with the resident's own personal, moral and ethical beliefs. Crestview Nursing & Residential Living will not discriminate on the basis of presence or absence of an Advanced Directive in regards to admission to Crestview. Crestview Nursing & Residential Living will not admit or retain those applicants whose medical treatment choices differ from the moral convictions central to the Facility's operating principles and philosophy.

Job Description
LAUNDRY/HOUSEKEEPING POSITION, to include every other weekend. Flexible daily hours are available. Laundry employees tend to laundry machines to clean Facility linens and resident’s personal items. Loads clothing/linens into washer and adds specified amount of detergent or other cleaning agents. Lifts clean, wet items from washer and places them into dryers for measured time cycles. Sorts dry items, folds and places items in appropriate storage shelves or resident rooms. The Housekeeper performs various cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the Facility including but not limited to resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, hallways, common areas and offices. The tasks include but not limited to mopping, vacuuming, scrubbings, sweeping, dusting, polishing and buffing.

You are agreeing to work every Saturday and Sunday 12-16 hour shifts; and are being paid at a higher rate. You'll be paid a minimum of $16.50 for weekend hours worked.

JUNE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: JOSH KUHLMAN
Josh came to work for Crestview’s dietary department in December of 2015; and has been a reliable and constant employee since. Josh realizes that customer service and a personal touch can make a residents dining experience more enjoyable. He jokes with the residents and strives to make Crestview’s dining room fun and lively. His devotion was unparallel during the height of the pandemic and when staffing was lean; Josh came home from college working Friday evening and the weekends. He was the “breath of fresh air” needed during that difficult time. Josh has again stepped-up, this summer he is cooking during the evenings. He started out saying he could only make sandwiches; but that didn’t last. He has made all the menu meals as well as any resident requested dish. We are so proud of him!!!

MAY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: VICKI HULSING

Please join Crestview in congratulating Vicki Hulsing as our May employee of the month. Vicki began her career at Crestview in 1998 working nights; and the administration has been able to sleep well knowing that Vicki is lovingly caring for the residents throughout the night. Nights are often the most stressful, even frightening time for most residents. Suddenly it's quieter, it's DARK out, the lights are dimmed, it's “too quiet;” and anxiety often sets in. Vicki puts those fears to rest methodically going to each room, visiting with the residents and letting them know she is here for the night if they need anything. Her night often consists of making residents midnight snacks, soothing any fears and providing compassionate nursing care all night. Night shift employees often don’t get the recognition they deserve, because they aren’t working when families visit…. but let it be known that night staff is the backbone to a facility!!! Vicki is married to Greg and has raised two successful daughters, Jessica and Coila.
